We started the new session with 35 boys - almost all our exisiting members returned after the holidays along with a lot of new boys' promoted from the Anchor Boys'. We would also like to welcome our newest member of staff, Mr Ian Brown. Ian has been known in the 167th for a number of years, with both of his sons going through the company.

Each Monday the boys meet up in their groups at the start of the night for the opening service conducted by one of the officers. After this has taken place we usually split up into four groups for achievement classes, or to practice figure marching. With the achievements out of the way we then all come back together for games (dodgy ball and cowboys & indians remain ever popular), mat work, keep fit, or potted sports. On light nights we often go outside for a run round Hartlaw Crescent. At the end of the night we sometimes play "quiet games" before going back into groups for the closing service. We then finish the night off by opening up the tuck shop (assuming the officers haven't eaten it all during the course of the evening)

This year we are continuing to introduce the new uniform as was decided by the brigade council, this will be introduced year by year starting with the newest boys', for the Junior Section' this is a royal blue sweatshirt and blue polo shirt these can be ordered from BB Supplies on 0870 - 744 - 2292 or from the BB Supplies shops (click here for shop contact details), the ordering codes and approximate prices are listed below. Please remember that the Uniform is an Important part of The Boys' Brigade and that without a uniform the boys cannot gain their white badge.
